Stedman Capital Fund I

Stedman Capital Management LLC is the investment manager to the Stedman Capital Fund I, LP. Initiated on May 1, 2013, the Fund adheres to Stedman Capital Management’s value investing philosophy.  While not precluded from taking short positions, the Fund is biased to long positions.

The Fund leverages the advantaged understandings of specific sectors and
businesses within the manager’s global experience. The Fund endeavors to outperform the S&P500, including all dividends, but abjures holding any index funds that could represent "closet indexing".  The Fund may hold hedging short positions against the overall market periodically however.

To maintain liquidity and flexibility for its investors the Fund trades only in public securities. Investors have no hard lock up of their capital.  The Fund has concentration limitations that still permit special circumstances of deep value to be exploited opportunistically in relative concentration.
Fees are competitive and their structure reflects the value philosophy of the manager. Stedman seeks to deliver exceptional value on a risk-reward basis by limiting eligible management performance fees solely to real (core-inflation adjusted) capital appreciation. Not only does this preserve the purchasing power of invested capital after gain, but also it retains more capital for compounding to an investor’s benefit.
