Mr. Shaw has worked and resided in Asia, Europe and North America in the course of his career. These experiences combine with his educational background to leverage uncommon breadth with the competence to perform in-depth analyses of business financials, operations and strategy. He has spoken by invitation at numerous conferences and institutions, including Bloomberg, Jeffries and INSEAD.
Mr. Shaw holds a BA in History from Davidson College, a JD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a MBA from the London Business School, where he has served on the Alumni Board, the European Advisory Board and the North American Advisory Board. He remains a member in good standing of the North Carolina State Bar.
Gilbert Shaw
Having outperformed most equity hedge funds as a private investor for many years, Gilbert Shaw founded the Stedman Capital Fund I, LP, in 2013, to provide an efficient mechanism for value-oriented equity investors to join him.
Mr. Shaw is materially invested in Stedman funds so as to maintain management and investor alignment. His investment approach is informed by broad wealth creation and preservation success. It includes corporate strategy consulting to Fortune 500 companies as well as executive leadership in several high growth, early stage technology companies.
